I enclose a copy of a fax received today from the CPA Hong Kong Branch. Following our telephone conversation may I comment as follows:
(a) Content of the programme
I should prefer to leave this to the Hong Kong Government to decide taking into account the information on Members' knowledge and interests given in my fax to you of 1st August. I can now say in addition that Mr Jim Callaghan MP also wishes to take advantage of the briefing. Mr Callaghan has visited Hong Kong several times. His special interest is education.
(b) Departure
All delegates staying for the briefing except Mr Jack Aspinwall MP are booked out of Hong Kong on flight BA28 ETD Hong Kong 2215 on Tuesday 17th September. I am writing to Mr Aspinwall and will send you a copy.
(c) Hotel
You will recall that we proposed to leave this to the Hong Kong Government, the CPA UK Branch to pay for the night of Thursday 12th September.
