The non-Police disciplined services had mixed reaction towards the Standing
Committee's recommendations. While
welcoming the "pay parity" principle, the Staff Side of the Disciplined Services Consultative Council were unhappy that this principle had not been followed in the rank-and-file pay
review. The Staff side was also
disappointed that differences still existed in the entry pay of the various services and that the bulk of junior
officers received no pay adjustment in the
review. The Staff Side will submit its
views in writing to the Administration.
