To review the pay of disciplined
services
The Standing Committee's advice on the
pay for the Officer ranks was accepted
by the Executive Council on 18 December.
The Committee recommended the restoration
of pre-Rennie relativities. This
completes the review of disciplined
services' pay.
The four Police staff associations were disappointed with the Standing Committee's recommendations on the officers' pay scales
announced on 19.12.90. Latest indications
however are that these associations are unlikely to take any drastic action, presumably for "image" reasons. They are now expected to divert their efforts to improving their welfare and conditioned
hours of work.
