About 7% of postal workers refused to perform overtime duties from 29.11.901.1290. The impact on postal service was insignificant. Thereafter all staff agreed to withhold action pending the results of the Standing Commission's review.
Departmental management has discussed with staff the number of Senior Dispenser posts that are likely to be created, and a decision is expected by the end of December. Staff have shown a conciliatory attitude. Meanwhile, service is being maintained at an acceptable level.
