Staff objected to the
proposed merging of the two grades. After consultation with staff, the department has submitted to CSB a
proposal for the creation of a new Launch Master grade with a better Meanwhile, the staff
pay scale.
union concerned is conducting an opinion survey to gauge staff views. No drastic action has been planned at this stage.
Proposals from the HA on
the rates of cash allowance and mortgage interest subsidy scheme are still awaited. There is growing
impatience amongst staff unions over the slow progress. They petitioned OMELCO on 19.3.1991 to appeal for early decision. HA had been
reminded to submit its recommendation: in early April.
A provisional transfer offer has

been issued on 12 March.
Staff
have
mild
expressed disappointment with the content of
the provisional offer letter which did not specify the actual transfer date and certain detailed transfer
arrangements.
They have been
informed that these will be included
in the formal offer of transfer.
