the size of the 1991 civil service pay adjustment
Latest Position
The Staff Sides of the central consultative councils rejected the pay offer of 10.43%
across-the-board.
They
claim that the Government has departed from the pay policy and that the flat rate is unfair to the lower-paid. A few staff associations organised protest action but these did not attract much support. Most individual civil servants appear to feel that the adjustment is acceptable. Finance
Committee will be asked to approve the pay award on 28 June.
