Conditions on which premature retirement may be approved
332. (1) Section 6(1)(aa) of the Pensions Ordinance provides for
voluntary retirement with the approval of the Governor,
between the ages 45 and 55 years.

Where the officer is not in Hong Kong, he should be
medically examined by a medical practitioner duly authorised
to make an examination.
Authorisation for a medical
examination is granted by the Secretary for the Civil
Service on the advice, wherever possible, of the principal
British representative in that country. (See also CSR 934.)
