HONG KONG: MEETING WITH THE GOVERNOR

The Secretary of State is due to see the Governor of Hong Kong, Sir Edward Youde, at 4 pm on 13 February.

The main issue/which the Governor will wish to raise with the Secretary of State will be the future development of representative governfrent in Hong Kong, and particularly his preliminary ideas før the 1987 Review. I attach briefing on
this subject.
3.
The other subjects/which we believe the Governor may wish to raise are:
