THE PROBLEM
Mr Tam Yiu-chung has given notice to move a Motion, at the Legislative Council sitting on 10 July 1991, urging the Government "to take immediate steps to re-examine the setting up of a Central Provident Fund or other forms of compulsory retirement schemes in order that workers in Hong Kong are provided with comprehensive retirement protection." We need to decide on the line to be taken by the Government in the Debate on this Motion.
