(b) provide for the giving of notice in respect of
ordinary elections and by-elections (regulations 3, 4
and 5);
(c) provide for nominations and subscription of nomination
papers (regulations 6 and 7);
(d) provide for the giving of consent to nomination, for
the lodging of election deposits of $5,000 in respect
of the Legislative Council elections and for the
increase of other deposits by $1,000 in respect of the
Municipal Council and District Board elections
(regulation 8);
(e)
provide for the validity of nominations papers, the
withdrawal of candidature and the publication of
nominations (regulations 9, 10 and 11);
(f) make minor and consequential amendments (regulations
12, 14, 15 and 16);
(g) provide for the additional publication of notices of a
by-elections where seats remain unfilled (regulation

revise the format of the ballot paper (regulation 17);
(i) increases penalties in respect of election offences
(regulation 18);

provide for the mixing of ballot papers during the
count (regulation 19);
(k)
provide for the sealing and packaging of tendered
ballot papers following the count (regulation 20);
