"(2) If a notice of by-election is published under
paragraph (1) or (1A) and at the end of the day following the
expiration of the nomination period in respect of such
by-election any vacancy in the constituency concerned remains
unfilled, the returning officer shall not, unless the
Legislative Council is sooner dissolved in the case of a
by-election in any constituency in respect of that Council, be
required to publish a further notice of by-election until the
expiration of 6 months from the date of publication of the
previous notice of by-election."

(a)
adding "5H (2) or" after "section"; and
(b) by repealing "paragraphs (a), (b) and (c) of
regulation 4" and substituting "regulation 4 (1) or
(2)".

Appointment of election agents
Regulation 15 (1) is amended by repealing "last day appointed
for the receipt by the returning officer of nominations at that
election" and substituting "expiration of the nomination period".
15. Notice of particulars of election agents
Regulation 16(1) is amended by repealing "last day appointed
for the receipt by the returning officer of nominations at any
election" and subsituting "expiration of the nomination period".
