Provide for the payment of a stipend to members of the
Legislative Council and to provide for the payment
of an allowance to members of the Executive Council and the Legislative Council in respect of their
expenses.
Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice. and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.
Short title and
commencement.
This Crdinance may be cited as the Executive.
Council and Legislative Council (Stipend and Allowances) Ordinance 1985 and shall come into operation on a day to be
appointed by the Governor by notice in the Gazette.

Interpre- tation.
2. In this Ordinance, unless the context otherwise
requires
"approved" means approved by the Director of Accounting
Services;
"expenses" in respect of a member, means
(a)
geor
ial, clerical and office expenses;
