7. Mrs Gorman ended by repeating that she felt we owed it
to Hong Kong to do everything we could to help. It was a
wonderful capitalist success story and it would be a shame
to 'sacrifice' it. At least we should be able, in the
future, to put our hands on our hearts and say we had done
everything we possibly could.
