Background

Alistair Darling MP has tabled one other PQ on Hong Kong this session (on VBPS). However, he tabled identical questions on nationality last year (Hansard attached).
2. Mr Darling is well known to the Minister. He sat on Committee Stage of the British Nationality (Hong Kong) Bill and spoke to a number of amendments during the Committee and Report Stages.
