Promotion campaigns to attract visitors

Sponsorship by the South China Morning Post

During the six weeks leading up to the Fair, the Fair will be extensively advertised in the South China Morning Post; the minimum campaign in the sponsoring publication will amount to 4 full pages of advertising. This is in addition to publication of the full Fair Guide and editorial exposure of the Fair.

Advertising in other publications

An extensive advertising schedule has been planned in the following publications.

Asian Electricity

Asian Pacific Chemicals

International Construction

Far East Health

Nuclear Engineering International

Hong Kong Engineer (the Journal of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers)

Asia Technology

Daily Telegraph

Sunday Telegraph

All visitor promotion advertising will include the names of all exhibitors that have booked stands at the Fair at the time of going to Press.

Fair Guide

South China Morning Post is publishing a full Fair Guide on the Saturday before the Hong Kong Recruitment Fair. This Guide will incorporate full details of the exhibitors and the vacancies on offer, and guidance for candidates attending the Fair on how to make the best use of their visit.

The Fair Guide will be incorporated in the full circulation of South China

Morning Post. A copy of each Fair Guide is also given to every visitor to the Fair, and additional copies are made available for visitors to take away and hand on to colleagues who are not able to attend the Fair.

Some employer experiences with INTRO Recruitment Fairs

'Taking part in the INTRO Computer Recruitment Fair cost approximately £9,600 including expenses. On just the results to date this makes the cost per candidate about £1000, as against an average of £4,640 per head we have been paying in agency fees for these positions. Obviously the cost per hire of the INTRO Fair will reduce as more offers are accepted.

Not a bad investment! Thank you again for those who contributed to this

success.'

Capsco Software

'A non-stop event. Phenomenal is not too strong a word... People were queuing 20 deep to talk to us. We had to get additional material printed locally during the Fair.'

Norwich Union

'The recruitment of at least 9 personnel resulted directly from the Fair (we actually recruited a total of 17 personnel from the exercise as a whole; some of these came from related press advertising we carried out to gain additional exposure of our presence at the Fair). This result is extremely cost effective for CGS UK - each hire costing under £1000.'

CGS (UK) Limited

'By the end of 1989 we will have exhibited at ten INTRO Recruitment Fairs... We have been very pleased with the quality and number of skilled computing recruits to date. The cost per head of hiring staff using INTRO Fairs is well
