Thank you for repeating to us your earlier fax of 29 November which seems to have gone astray.
Mr Maude has a very full diary between now and Christmas and will unfortunately be unable to receive you during your forthcoming visit to London. The head of our Hong Kong Department, Mr Alan Paul, would however be happy to see you in his place. I suggest, therefore, that you ring Mr Paul's secretary on 270 2752 on your arrival in London to fix an appointment.
