Mr & Mrs Ron Kerswell celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary in grand style on 25 March 90 at the Highland Hotel, Plymstock. In lieu of presents which they said they didn't want, their guests were invited to make à donation to the D & C Fepow Club Funds and at the Monthly Meeting on the £175! What a splendid last Friday of March they handed in the proceeds gesture by such a lovely couple.

The next meeting of the Devon & Cornwall Fepow Club will be the AGM at
the Rectory. Sadly, this will be the last of on Friday 27 April at many happy meetings there, because our faithful friend, C/Sgt "Sticks" Dart RM is obliged to relinquish his stewardship for family reasons. Dunbar who has a photograph to prove that he was once a beautiful baby (it's the years since then that have been so cruel) has now arranged that we will be able to meet at noon on the last Fri of every month beginning in May, the United Services Officer's Club. A large, very comfortable private room with a bar and looking out onto the Mount Wise Cricket ground, is available for us. There's a large car park. Buses stop by the gates making it easy for locals. Food, drink, and warm welcome awaits you. So why not
a along? Dick Wood, 84 Tor Lane, Hartley, Plymouth (Tel: Ply 771263) will pick up Widows or anyone with transport difficulties.

There's to be another Macassar Camp Reunion! This one is at the Holiday Inn, Ocala Silver Springs, Florida where the US Submarines Perch and Pope survivors will gather on 19 23 June 90. If you have any stamina left after the one at Babbacombe last March and want to join your old campmates, write to Ben ("Sleepy") Clevinger, 1230 SE 27th St, Ocala, Florida 32671.
The Home Secretary yesterday stated the those who fought in the battle for Hong Kong and any Widows of those who fought, would be given British passports! Jack Edwards who led the fight for this right (buttonholing every MP who visited HK; Whicker's World; Letters to the press etc.) with the support of other Fepows such as E. Woolley (Page 4) have convinced MP's on
of all sides that the Hong Kong members our Fepow Family should have priority.WELL DONE Jack and all those who fought alongside you.
To the great dismay of many a housewife trying to cook Sunday lunch, the inhabitants of Cornwall were informed by the Electricity Board, that power to the whole county would switched off between 0900 and 1200 on 1st April 90 to allow a team of electricians to change the light bulb in the Head Office. Let us hope that such a calamity doesn't befall our friends gathering at Gunstan Hall this month for what we hope will be a wonderful Fepow Holiday with those Swede-bashers over in Norfolk.
