adequately without recourse to public funds; and

the primary purpose of the marriage was not to

obtain admission to the United Kingdom.

In order to assist non-British citizen spouses of British citizens in Hong

Kong who wish to settle in the United Kingdom, the Home Office has authorised

the Hong Kong Immigration Department to operate a scheme to facilitate the

processing of applications for entry clearance by such spouses. If you wish

at any time to apply for entry clearance for settlement in the United Kingdom

you should write to the Director of Immigration at Immigration Department

Headquarters, 9/F, Wanchai Tower II, 7 Gloucester Road, Wanchai, Hong Kong,

quoting the register number referred to above. This will enable us to give

your application priority.
