Our contacts with Britain are extraordinarily broad and deep. For instance :
(1) All our operations are conducted according to
British Standards specifications. British Gas PLC is our principal technical adviser and The Institution of Gas Engineers is our professional "home".

All of our production capacity has been purchased from British contractors (Humphreys and Glasgow, Babcock Contractors) with total value over HK$2 billion in the past decade.
Most of our steel pipelines and all of our ductile and polyethylene pipes are sourced in Britain. Recurring expenditure exceeds HK$200 million per
year.

We have always maintained an office in London (through Cornes (UK) Limited) and the National Westminster Bank informs us we are one of their oldest customers.
It seems to me that such long association deserves recognition under the Act and I respectfully ask you to re-examine the matter.
