Given the

operation of the points system, the types of applicants who would most likely qualify for British Citizenship under the Bill are likely to be near the top end of their professions. In particular, they are likely to be at or near age 40, thus earning maximum points for age, experience and eduction/training. circumstances, their salary levels, rather than the "average" salary levels for each profession, might be more illustrative for the purpose of comparing earnings and tax levels in HK and Britain.
