The Prime Minister has seen the Solicitor General's minute of yesterday about the possibility of deeming British Dependent Territories citizens residing in Hong Kong to be resident in this country for the purposes of section 4 of the British Nationality Act 1981, so as to entitle them to registration as British citizens. She was grateful for this but has not otherwise commented or suggested that we should follow it up.
