LI Shu-fung of Local Inspectors' Association referred to wide speculation within the Police Force that Police officers would be worse off than other civil servants under the proposed package. He suspected pressure from PRC and also relayed rumours regarding the criteria used in the points system.
He also re-iterated disappointment at D of Adm's refusal to brief LIA. asked HMG to address the points under speculation and to ensure that the package would be implemented with overall interest of the territory, and full understanding of the sensitivity of RHKPF staff.

Association, Model Scale 1 Staff Consultative Council, Senior Civil Service Council and Junior Police Officers' Association handed petitions to Mr Lloyd after the meeting.
