Intention to Settle

Special vouchers are issued only to eligible applicants who intend to settle in the United Kingdom.

CHANGE OF PERSONAL CIRCUMSTANCES BETWEEN THE DATE ON WHICH YOU APPLY FOR A VOUCHER AND THE TIME AT WHICH A VOUCHER MAY BE AVAILABLE TO YOU

4.

If your circumstances change significantly while you are waiting for your voucher application to be processed, you should write to the British diplomatic mission at once and tell them. Significant changes of circumstances are changes which mean that you can no longer meet one of the requirements outlined in (A)

(A) - (G) above. Such changes include marriage (for women) or being given the citizenship of another country (all applicants).

MEDICAL EXAMINATIONS

5.

You may be asked to have a medical examination carried out by a doctor named or approved by the British diplomatic mission. The reason for this is to make sure that:

i) you are not suffering from a communicable disease; ii) you are able to act as the head of the household.

If the result of a medical examination shows that you have a communicable disease, then a voucher cannot be issued to you until the doctor says that you are free of infection.

DEPENDANTS

6. Please list on your special voucher application form the members of your family (eg. wife, children) whom you wish to go with you or to join you in the UK if you receive a special voucher. Any of your unmarried children up to the age of 25 whatever their nationality may qualify for entry clearance to go with you or to join you in the UK only if they are fully dependent on you when you are offered a voucher. If your children are under 25 when you receive a voucher and are themselves eligible to apply for their own voucher, they may be considered for entry clearance to accompany or join you even if they are married and/or employed sons or employed unmarried daughters. any of your children reach the age of 18 while you are waiting for a voucher, they should apply for one of their own if they can meet the requirements of (A) - (G) above. This is in case they no longer qualify for Entry clearance by the time you may be offered one.
