It is estimated that the processing of applications under the Disciplined Services Scheme will take about 24 months to complete.
Because of the extra step of obtaining information from heads of disciplined services for computing points under the "special circumstances" criterion, the first batch of passports would be issued only in the 8th month from commencement of the scheme (i.e. 2 months later than applicants under GAS).
