points for completion of Form 5, 40 points for completion of Form 6, 50 points for completion of Form 7, 60 points for post-secondary diploma and 75 points for completion of first degree.
Professional qualifications (Max. 75)
Points scored under this sub-head take account of the level of the professional training and qualifications required for individual services. Allocation of the points would be set by the. Governor on the advice of the Steering Group, taking account of the recommendations of heads of services.
Special circumstances (weighting : 150)
In order to meet the special need of the Disciplined Services, the 150 points under this criterion will be applied, on the advice of the Steering Group, along the following lines :
(i)
50 points for adjusting the other criteria to meet individual service requirements and to enhance the effects of the other criteria in differentiating competing applicants in the
same service.
(ii) 90 points for reflecting performance in the
service. Measurement is largely based on staff appraisal reports during the past three years.
(iii) 10 points for reflecting individual meritorious
attainments (e.g. commendation for an act of
bravery).
