Implementation Procedures for processing applications under the Disciplined Services Scheme (DSS)
The
following is an outline of HKG preliminary thinking
on the procedures for the DSS -
a) The proposed marking schemes of various disciplined services
will be forwarded to the Steering Group for consideration.
Upon the Steering Group's endorsement, the marking schemes
will be incorporated into the computer
Immigration Department.

Members of the disciplined services will apply in the same way as other applicants under GAS. Their applications will
be submitted to the Immigration Department. Points will be
awarded according to the marking schemes endorsed. For each
disciplined services a list of applications
service is compiled in order of points scored.

disciplined

which will
provide additional
regarding individual applicants' performance
appraisal record, medals/commendations received etc. for the
purpose for computing points under the Special Circumstances
criterion.

returned to the Immigration Department for further marking
and processing.
