As regards the parent's consent for the
registration of children, the thinking is that similar to naturalisation cases, the decision of whether to have one's children registered should rest with the principal beneficiary. This line will be adopted and reflected in
the application form unless HMG advise otherwise.

As all eligible applicants have right of abode in Hong Kong, HMG agree that it will not be necessary to require them to state their addresses (except for residence in UK) in the past 5 years. However, the application form for the spouse of a principal beneficiary should include place of permanent residence of the principal beneficiary.
