Meeting with RMM:
Unresolved issues: circulate a note to secure agreement on these.
Secondment scheme: first visit to a firm (BP) to assess demand.
Bill timetable: circulate assessment.
Receive and assess HKG's further work on the Scheme.
Mr Langdon's meeting on 8 February.
Draw up list of matters to be pursued during the visit to Hong
Kong.
Week beginning 12 February
Aim to achieve final agreement with HKG on outstanding issues, especially those critical to the Bill. In particular
inform HKG of Ministers' decision about numbers and
Section 4(5);
explain to HKG our views on the remaining eligibility questions (dual nationality, marriages contracted after emigrating from Hong Kong, adoption, illegitimacy);
