HONG KONG BILL: CONSPECTUS OF ACTIVITY
I attach at Annex A a timetable of Bill Unit activity between now and introduction of the Bill in early April. It is inevitably rather hazy about the latter part of this period, but I envisage using it as a planner and updating it from time to time as the more distant future comes into sharper focus. I shall be glad to have any omissions drawn to my attention.
I also attach at Annex B a similar planner for the period covering the Bill's passage through Parliament. The actual timetable shown is there just for illustration. It reflects the minimum intervals that we are required by procedure to leave between various stages, but does not take account of realism (e.g. the need to compete for slots against other Parliamentary business) - that is why it appears slightly more optimistic than the timetable sketched out in Mrs Grimsey's note of 23 January.
