You may be interested in the attached guidelines which have been provided to relevant posts to respond to onuiries prompted by Mr Maude's statement in Hong Kong
Right of Abode Package.
These guidelines focus primarily on Australia's current policy on migrant entry, outlining the extent of the leilility that currently exists. (A similar outline
wisting policy was provided during the recent Pish/Australian Officials Talks in London.)
The final paragraph sets out the current position with respect to the British approach for support for the Right of Abode Package, noting that he matter is still under consideration.
