Criminal offence for homosexual acts between consenting adult males. Inconsistent with article
17(1).
Provisions under review for some time. Decriminalisation has been proposed but there is public opposition.

powers too broad for any
offence in contravention of
articles 9 and 17
(arbitrary arrest and
detention and interference with privacy).
Inappropriate authorisation to check bank accounts (article 17).
Detention, stop and search being reviewed by Law Reform Commission. Other provisions will be reviewed to determine whether amendments will be necessary.
