better answer than a system which would have started from
a higher level but run into certain shipwreck in 1997. Our task now is to work to make the 1991 elections a

The report describes in detail the work of the Hong Kong Government and their plans for the future. find this an exciting and encouraging prospect. The centrepiece of their plans is the new airport project, which will have the capacity to handle 80 million
passengers a year, more than Heathrow and Gatwick together are handling now. The associated port development project will expand Hong Kong's present facilities (which include what is already the world's busiest container port) more than five fold by early in the next century, thereby consolidating the territory's position as the main gateway to Southern China.
The British Government will continue to do all it can to ensure that the people in Hong Kong can look forward with confidence to a prosperous future, with their present way of life and freedoms protected by the Joint Declaration and the Basic Law.
