As you know, the Government's response to the above Inquiry will be published in the form of a Command Paper at 3.30 pm on Wednesday 23 May.
2. It is necessary to inform Parliament of publication and this is done in the form of an inspired written PQ. I would be grateful if you would therefore submit a draft Question and Answer to PRU through PS/Mr Maude, and copied to Private Secretary and PS/Mr Sainsbury. This should reach PRU no later than Wednesday 16 May.
