ARTICLE 16
ENTRY INTO FORCE AND TERMINATION
1.
This Agreement shall apply to any request presented
after its entry into force even if the relevant acts or
omissions occurred before that date.
2.
This Agreement shall enter into force 30 days after
the date on which the Governments have notified each other in
writing that their respective requirements for the entry into
force of the Agreement have been complied with, and shall
remain in force for 3 years from that date. Thereafter the
Agreement shall remain in force for further successive
periods of one year provided that both Parties have agreed no
less than 180 days before the end of the initial period, and
each current one year period, to extend it for a further
year.
3.
Either Party may
terminate this Agreement.
The
termination shall take effect 180 days from the date on which
it was notified to the other Party.
In witness whereof the undersigned, being duly
duly authorised
thereto by their respective Governments,
have signed this
Agreement.
