Education
Those in the disciplined services (e.g. the Police) who
are essential to the stability of the territory will be
covered; there will also be provision for a small number
of people who, by virtue of their service to Hong Kong and
UK interests, merit special consideration.
Selection procedure

Within the main groupings candidates
will be
selected using a points scheme. Points will be awarded in
relation to:
Age
Experience
Education/Training
Special Circumstances
Proficiency in English
British Links
Community Service
The special circumstances points will be ап important
means of identifying or highlighting special qualities
(either in relation to individuals ot particular
occupations in a group) which may have a bearing on the
relative priority to be given to particular individuals.
