Eligibility
14.
Those in the following groups ordinarily resident
in Hong Kong will be eligible to apply:
British Dependent Territories
with А connection with Hong Kong
Nationals Overseas (BNOS);
Citizens (BDTCS)
British

Overseas Citizens, British Protected
Persons, and British Subjects (BOCS, BPPS and
BSS) without conditions on their stay in Hong
Kong;
Holders of HK Certificates of Identity who have
applied for BDTC status on the date on which the
Bill is passed.
About two-thirds of those expected to qualify
under the scheme will be drawn from seven broad
occupational groups, covering over half a million of Hong
Kong's working population. These groups are:
Business and Management
Accounting and Financial Services
Engineering
Information Technology
Medical Science
