announcing Government's authorization of the
resumption of private land for the later stages
of advance works at Chek Lap Kok;
on 14 December, the Lantau Fixed Crossing will be
gazetted under the Roads (Works, Use and
Compensation) Ordinance to give the opportunity
for objections to be made; and
nuary, a notice will be published in the
Gazette under the Roads (Works, Use and
Compensation) Ordinance giving the opportunity
for objections to be made against the
CONS WI Uction or the Tsing Yi and Kwai Chung
section of Route 3.
L Woulu Lastly point out that a number of very
important decisions, relating to the airport railway,
the planning of the construction of the two runways
and the overall timing of the airport project, are due
to be taken in early 1991. Before finalising these
decisions, we hope to discuss them with the Chinese
