Kong market, more than most, depends for its future growth

Port and Airport Development Strategy

Development Strategy on which over 30 Members spoke. This
reflects the importance of PADS to Hong Kong.
impression is that the great majority of Members who spoke
on the subject endorsed PADS, and in particular
provision of a replacement airport to meet the needs of our
growing economy. But I also detected some lingering doubt
as to whether we could afford such a considerable financial
outlay over a relatively short period.
