PADS Projects

i. The West Kowloon Expressway and Route Three will

provide the necessary additional road capacity

between NWNT and Hong Kong, through Tsuen Wan,

Kwai Chung and Kowloon, to relieve the already

congested road facilities and provide for future

growth.

ii.

The Airport Rail and Lantau Lines will provide

immediate relief to the local service in the

congested Nathan Rd MTR corridor and high speed

rail access to the New International Airport.

iii. The

connections

between the West Kowloon

Expressway and the Lung Cheung Road/Ching Cheung

Road Improvements, the Ferry St./Waterloo Rd.

intersection, the future Cross Kowloon Route and

Jordan Rd. will provide sufficient distribution

of cross-harbour as will as local traffic to

relieve current congestion on the Kowloon roads.
