Wu.
In addition the
proposal ignores the long range
planning needs of the North West New Territories and
cross-border traffic. In place of Route Three which
is designed to meet this need, it suggests a much
longer double viaduct structure from Sham Tseng to
Tuen Mun and from there to the border.

Another longer range proposal put forward by Mr. Wu is a
rail and road bridge between Lantau and Tai Lam Kok, which
would shorten the commuting distance between Tuen Mun and
Hong Kong Island

III. DETAILED COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS
