Jear Mr Parry,

Thank you for your letter of 12 May, enclosing one from your constituent, Mr Lo Kam Loy of 4A Great George Street, Liverpool, L1 5EW, about land he owns in the New

Territories in Hong Kong.

Mr Lo asked for compensation for his land which he believes is to be used for the new airport. However, he claims to own land in Tung Chung where resumptions of land have not yet begun. Owners of land registered with the Land Office will be notified in writing should their land be resumed, and there are procedures by which Mr Lo can claim compensation should he be affected.
