ANNEX 2
the
I have the honour to refer to the Agreement between Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the Government of Malaysia for air services between and beyond their respective territories, done at London on 24 May 1973, as amended, and to propose that:-

Hong Kong shall cease to be regarded as territory of the United Kingdom for the purposes of the said Agreement except, until 30 June 1997, for the purpose of Article 2(3) thereof;
Route 2 shall be deleted from Section 1 of the Annex to the said Agreement;
Routes 2 and 3 and Notes 2 and 3 shall be deleted from Section 2 of the Annex to the said Agreement.
If the foregoing proposal is acceptable to the Government of Malaysia, I have the honour to suggest that the present Note and your reply to that effect shall constitute an Agreement between the two Governments which shall enter into force on the date on which an Air Services Agreement between the Government of Malaysia and the Government of Hong Kong enters into force.

I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt of your Note, dated which reads as follows:

In reply, I have the honour to confirm that the above proposal is acceptable to the Government of Malaysia who therefore agree that your Note together with this reply to that effect shall constitute an Agreement between the two Governments which shall enter into force on the date on which an Air Services Agreement between the Government of Malaysia and the Government of Hong Kong enters into force.
