(2) Any person who contravenes subsection (1) shall be guilty of an

Issue and renewal of licences

7. (1) The Director may, on application made to him in the specified form and on payment of the fee prescribed in the Fourth Schedule, issue a licence to import, export or possess scheduled-apseles any scheduled species

or contacted medicine, (2) A licence issued under subsection (1) shall--- (a) be in the specified form,

for controlled medicine

or controlled medicine

(b) specify the name and address of the holder of the licence, (c) specify the quantity and description of the scheduled species (d) specify the conditions, if any, subject to which it is issued; and (e) in the case of a licence authorizing the import or export of any scheduled species also specify the period within which the importa- tion or exportation shall be effected.

(3) The Director may, on application to him and payment of the fee prescribed in the Fourth Schedule, renew a licence to possess a scheduled for controlled species extend the period within which importation or exportation of any medicine scheduled species is required to be effected, or otherwise vary a licence issued

under subsection (1).

Cancellation of licence

8. (1) The Director may at any time cancel a licence issued under section 7(1) if—
