In order to handle the opportunities that exist in
relation to trade, we have been developing our port over
the years, and we have dramatic plans for the future.
These plans will be phased in over the years and, most
importantly we will continue with our well tried and tested
methods of engaging the private sector. Indeed, as you
probably know, our container port has been built entirely
by the private sector. The Hong Kong Government's generous
contribution was some rather muddy seabed.
