Because I am in London and speaking to an audience
consisting largely of British businessmen and leaders in
the financial community, I would like to start by saying a
few words about British involvement in Hong Kong, touching
upon the opportunities that have been grasped, giving some
reasons why opportunities may have been missed, and lastly,
looking at the potential for the future.
