BRITISH BUSINESS INTERESTS IN HONG KONG
The Industry Department has provided us with the attached list of Hong Kong companies in which there is investment by British companies. I understand that in no case is that investment less than 10%. At the top end the investment will be 100% e. g. Coates Brothers HK Ltd and Remex Electronics Ltd. What the graduations are inbetween, the Industry Department was unwilling to say.
Nor would it tell me who the UK parent companies were in the less obvious instances. None the less, it adds a little to our overall knowledge of British involvement in Hong Kong.
