JAPANESE INVESTMENT IN HONG KONG

As we discussed,
Our DUSS, Mr McLaren, is shortly to visit Japan.
In
preparation for this visit, we have asked Tokyo for information on Japanese investment in Hong Kong. I attach a copy of their reply and statistics provided by the Japanese MOF.
2. I would be very grateful if you could have a look at these and let me have any views. It would also be useful to know whether your statistics on this are similar.
3. As we need to prepare the brief by Thursday, grateful for any comments by noon on 25 October.
