In April 1989 Cathay Pacific announced an order for 10 Airbus A330, plus a further 10 options (which may rise to 14), as replacements for their Lockheed Tristars.
This is both Cathay's
largest ever order and Airbus Industries' largest order in the Far East. It is the first time that Rolls Royce engines have been

The full order (24 aircraft) is worth highest of any Airbus.

UK Retailers in Hong Kong
10 UK companies have been establishing themselves in Hong Kong's retail sector. Habitat, Mothercare, Gieves & Hawkes and The Body Shop have opened stores. Marks & Spencer opened two stores in 1988, a third in autumn 1989, and two more are planned.
