On the question of Syria Mr. Adley was anxious that as much
contact as possible should be maintained between Britain and
Syria and said that he is working to give Syria a more positive
profile in this Country.
Mr. Adley also reported that the would like advice for the
Foreign Office regarding the possibility of a visit to Lebanon
as a guest of the Government.
