I refer to your letter XA HKN 3631 of 16 July to Doug Martin at JLG. Concorde Construction duly visited the site and, in conjunction with the floor layout drawing SJ03A, will be providing a quotation. They did feel that the removal of the card key system access control at D40 and the IAS currently installed where you envisage a new door (D21a) should be removed by "experts". They will not be including these costs in their quotation.

I have some comments on your proposals in the light of Martin's teleletter of 11 May:
(a) the works proposed do not include arranging access to rooms
301 and 302 from the confidential area i.e. from behind D16. Presumably this has been frowned upon by Security Department? An additional DS5 has just arrived at JLG and the availability of both these rooms as confidential offices would solve the forseeable space problems and avoid the need for the conference room to double up as an office for this DS5 and the Second Secretary.
(b) Door D16 was recently installed.
(D17 and D18) will remain (?). new doors at D16?
The current air lock system Is there a requirement for
(c) There is always the possibility that JLG will require use of
both floors again in the future. Would it not be more cost effective to leave D5 as it is, less any security works, locks etc?
(d) It is my understanding that we will retain room 303 for the
JLG driver. Could you please confirm this.
